Dr. Katie Castillo grew up in a small town in New Mexico where she raised a variety of animals ranging from horses and goats to pigs and dogs.
She attended the University of Arizona where she earned her degree in Veterinary Science before going to UC Davis for Veterinary School and graduated in 2018. Since then, Dr. Castillo has worked in general practice in both Austin, Texas and the Sacramento area. Over the years, she has gained a special interest in soft tissue surgery as well as geriatric care and pain management. While she loves pets of all ages, the senior dogs and cats hold a special place in her heart.
She looks forward to forming new bonds with her patients and clients at Sacramento Animal Hospital!
